What struck me most in our conversation was the picture you painted of your practice over the past decade. Sydney corporates. Byron Bay Instagram. Paediatrics. Hashimoto's. Gut health. Mental health. Patients referred by flight attendants, by former colleagues, by friends from four different cities and two entirely different seasons of life. That is not a practice without a niche. That is a practice with a rare, earned depth, and a practitioner who has genuinely sat with people across the full complexity of their lives.
You told me that your feedback is consistent: scientific knowledge that is rigorous and thorough, combined with a real desire to sit with the person in front of you. You said most practitioners don't bring both. I believe that is the thing. That is the bridge between functional medicine and human connection that patients keep coming back to you for, and that is what is completely invisible on your current website.
Right now, polyrae.com.au does one thing: it exists. It does not rank in search. It does not communicate your depth of experience. It does not build trust with someone who has never met you. You said it yourself, and I think that kind of honesty is actually a very good sign for where we go next. The site is a brochure without a shelf. You are getting clients despite it, not because of it, which tells me that when we build something that actually works for you, the gap you close will be significant.
With your Masters beginning in July and a potential clinic role on the horizon, this is exactly the right moment to build a digital foundation that holds steady regardless of where your practice takes shape, whether that is in someone else's clinic, your own rooms, or online. Owning your brand authority online means that no matter where you practice, people who hear your name can find you, understand your approach, and trust you before they ever pick up the phone.
"I work with practitioners who already have the expertise, the results, and the reputation. My job is to build them a digital home that reflects what they've spent years creating, and makes sure the right people can find it."

I have put together your proposal below. It covers the full picture of what I found on your current site, what your genuine authority signals are, and what the Evolve package looks like in practice, including a platform choice I want to walk you through when you are ready.
With warmth,
Elle Harrison

Before we talk about what is missing, it is worth naming what you already have. These are the assets that a well-built website should be communicating clearly and consistently.
Finished in 2012 and in practice since. A depth of clinical exposure that spans cities, demographics, and conditions most practitioners have not encountered.
A rare combination that your own patients have named back to you. You bring rigorous clinical knowledge and genuine human presence, and that is not common in the field.
Sydney, Byron Bay, Brisbane, and online. That breadth of environment and patient demographic is a significant credential, particularly for practitioners seeking to see patients remotely.
Five years as the Smart Eating columnist for Mind Food magazine. That is a significant content and authority credential that is not mentioned anywhere online.
Mobile consultations in Sydney city offices, with a corporate referral network built through your airline industry background. A distinct positioning that most naturopaths cannot claim.
Three workplace seminars delivered, with a genuine interest in continuing. A scalable service offering that opens doors beyond one-to-one consulting.
Autoimmune, gut health, mental health, paediatrics, adrenal fatigue, Hashimoto's. A whole-person, whole-body approach that treats the root, not the label.
Commencing July 2026. Investing in postgraduate credentials at this stage of a career signals genuine commitment to clinical excellence, not just continuing practice.
polyrea.com.au is a Canva-built website. Here is what that means in practical terms, and where the gaps are.
The issues below are not unique to your site. They are the same structural gaps I find across almost every health practitioner's website. The difference is that your Canva platform means some of them simply cannot be fixed in place.
| What We Found | Current Reality | Impact | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform Limitations | Canva does not support SEO meta tags, schema markup, or structured data | No organic search visibility is possible regardless of content quality | High |
| Headline Clarity | Visitor cannot confirm within 3 seconds who you are, where you practise, or who you help | High bounce rate from new visitors who cannot self-qualify | High |
| Authority Absent | Mind Food magazine column, corporate seminars, and multi-city background are not mentioned | Strongest credentialling assets completely invisible to new visitors | High |
| Practitioner Approach | Science-led, person-centred positioning is not communicated anywhere on the site | Core point of difference invisible, no reason for new patients to choose you over anyone else | High |
| No Blog Infrastructure | Zero content published, no blog page exists | No organic traffic source, no long-term SEO asset being built | High |
| Booking Pathway | No clear call to action or booking mechanism visible above the fold | Interested visitors have no obvious next step and leave | High |
| Google Business Profile | Not referenced or linked from site; likely minimal optimisation | Misses the most accessible local search visibility lever available | Medium |
| Image Alt Text | Likely absent or auto-generated across all pages | Missed SEO value on every image; also an accessibility gap | Medium |
Google is still the dominant search engine, but the way people use it has shifted. More and more, people type full questions: "naturopath in Brisbane who treats autoimmune" or "natural health practitioner for gut and mental health." They also use AI platforms like ChatGPT and Perplexity to ask for recommendations directly.
In both cases, the practitioners who appear are the ones with structured, keyword-rich websites, active blogs, and Google Business Profiles that clearly communicate what they do and where they do it. A Canva site cannot compete in this environment. It is not indexed the way a real website is, and it cannot be structured in the way search engines and AI platforms read.
Search for a Brisbane naturopath with your background in corporate health, paediatrics, and autoimmune conditions and you will not find polyrea.com.au. That is the gap this blueprint is designed to close.
A complete, purpose-built website for Polly Rea Naturopath. Six pages, semi-custom design, brand strategy, copywriting, and SEO, built to reflect the depth of experience and the science-led, person-centred approach that your patients already know, but the internet currently cannot find.
This package is right for you at this stage. You are not a new practitioner. You have over a decade of clinical experience, published media credits, corporate seminar history, and a clear point of difference. You need a site that says so. The same build is available on two platforms, which I have outlined below.
Vision, mission, values, four detailed client avatars, and your brand personality. The foundation everything else is built from. A pivotal document not just for this process but to come back to for future content create, education and marketing
All six pages written from scratch, drawing on your brand strategy, SEO-optimised, and written to speak to the specific patients you want to attract.
Meta titles, descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, schema markup, and internal linking, all built in from the start.
Royalty-free imagery sourced and curated to match your brand, so the site looks professional from day one.
A 45-minute session to walk through the design direction, layout preferences, and any specific requirements before we start building.
Up to 3 days to submit feedback per round, so we get the design right without rushing.
Your website is fully transferred to you on completion. Tutorial library included so you can manage it yourself going forward.
One build. Two platform options.
The design package is the same regardless of platform. What differs is where your website lives and what it can grow into. You do not need to decide right now, but I will need to know before your start date so I can build in the right environment.
Option A
A clean, professional website on a platform you own and manage yourself. Squarespace handles hosting, and you pay your subscription directly to them. Ideal if a simple, polished online presence is all you need right now.
What to consider
As your practice grows and you want to add things like email marketing, automated follow-up, or online courses, you will need to bring in separate tools and connect them together. That works, but it does add cost and complexity over time.
Option B
Alvéya is my own platform built specifically for health practitioners. At the start, it does exactly what Squarespace does: a beautiful, professional website. But it is built on infrastructure that grows with you, so when you are ready to add email marketing, automated booking follow-up, a membership, or an online course, it is already there. No switching platforms, no integrations, no tech headaches.
Platform subscription
The Alvéya subscription is separate from the design investment. For the website-only tier to start, the subscription is $39 per month or $336 per year, which is comparable to a standard Squarespace plan. If you decide later that you want full platform functionality (CRM, automations, email marketing, courses, community), there is a clear upgrade path without rebuilding anything.
The design investment is the same either way. I just need to know before your start date which direction you want to go.
One package. Two platform options. The design investment is the same regardless of which platform you choose. The platform decision simply determines where your website lives and what it can grow into.
Brand strategy, copywriting, semi-custom design, and SEO, built for a practitioner of your experience.
Platform note
If you choose Alvéya, there is a separate platform subscription of $39 per month or $336 per year for the website-only tier. This is comparable to a standard Squarespace plan. I will start the conversation about platform and I just need your decision confirmed before your start date.
Complete the form, read through the client service agreement and pay your deposit, all in one place. After this, you wll be directed to a page to request the design start date.. I will be in touch within one business day to confirm your start date.
Thirteen years, four cities, published media, corporate seminars, and a clinical approach your patients consistently describe as rare. The only thing missing is a website that says so.
